There is a lot of talk about continuous improvement.
There is a lot less action.
If you want a simple method to determine if your continuous improvement approach has a chance of delivering your hoped for results then ask yourself this question:
"How many hours were put into continuous improvement (projects) last week?"
Ask yourself this question each week for a few weeks and determine if you like the answer.
Adjust accordingly.
