Can you see the wood for the trees?

Continuous improvement is a funny thing.

One minute you're working on something that you do all of the time, and the next minute you are in a conversation with one of your colleagues that inspires your next idea to improve how your business works.

Commonly people talk about this issue all the time with the phrase 'you can't see the wood for the trees'.

How often does this happen to you?

I spend my life in continuous improvement projects, and it certainly happens to me.

As in the example above, which also happened to one of my clients today, a simple conversation with a colleague can spark a new insight.

That's right, just a simple conversation.

So, are you talking to your colleagues about the right things at work?
