Do you really have time to do it twice?

Do you have time to do the same job twice in your business?

Most people I speak to look at me as if I am daft when I pose this question.

But, many people are trying to do their job twice:

  • They try to cut corners at the start because they think they are pressured for time (and probably are),
  • They then have to spend more time later on in the project / in production because they are rectifying something that they should have done earlier on...
It makes me laugh (or I would have to cry!) when I see this situation. From the outside looking in it does seem ridiculous, but it is what happens.

If you spot people working incredibly hard, but doing things that seem reactive rather than proactive, it might be worth taking a second look to see what is really going on.
