When you are getting stuck trying to generate alternative options to solve your business improvement challenges don’t forget to ask for help.
A simple ‘could you give me your thoughts on X?’ can generate a whole raft of alternative improvement ideas (where X is your issue to be resolved, of course!).
A quick injection of an alternative perspective can work wonders; thoughts that you have never had get brought into the mix and suddenly you have additional ideas that you can incorporate into your own thinking.
So, if you find yourself getting stuck with your improvement ideas then why not ask one of your colleagues for their input?
If you ask nicely you will most likely get their support, and even if they can’t help you the process of talking through the issue will most likely get your own brain going again!
